Hi Everyone,      We're asking for you to support NYS Assembly bill A5231 and urge your local Assembly member to support and vote yes on this bill as well!  The bill would give Police Officers credit towards their pension if they served as Deputy Sheriffs in the NYS retirement system.  Currently Police officers do not get credit for their time as Deputies.  We're looking to change that with this bill.  Police Officers are given credit for military service, therefore they should also be given credit for doing the same job as a Deputy Sheriff.  We ask you to support this bill...
